The painting is in generally good condition. It appears to have been restored and relined at some point in the last 50 years. The picture surface is stable, with consistent craquelure throughout. Canvas surface tension is good. There is a more prominent vertical crack towards the centre of the canvas, and areas where the stretcher shows through. There is an unevenness to the texture in places, as well as small areas of potential loss around the edges that might date to when the painting was last relined. Some losses to the gilt frame. Aside from these issues, the painting presents well and is ready to hang. Please see additional images available on request.
