Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

This lot is in good overall condition with general scratching and scuffing commensurate with age and use.

The cream cushion is stained on both sides and is clearly a later addition with modern stuffing.

There is evidence of old historic woodworm which is localised and very minor, appearing on some of the turned bobbins. This does not weaken the strength of the chair.

There are natural cracks to the timbers appearing in some of the bobbins. One bobbin will need attention on the arm where it has been repaired and has lost a section of its body.

One of the turned bobbins on the leg has either had the wood worm removed or it is a replacement. This does not affect the stability.

There are signs of historic repairs including one arm support but this is stable.

The wood seat framework beneath the cushion is a later replacement and is strong.

There is a missing turned roundel near one seat finial.

The chair is both stable and fit for purpose with good appearance.
