Felix
Lecluse was born in France in 1817, having completed his watchmaking training,
he travelled to London to pursue his chosen profession. By 1842 he was working
in the wealthy Soho area, at 40 Dean Street, and then in 1848 he moved his
operations to 7 Frith Street, Soho. He produced mainly clocks but was succeeded
by his sons who continued the business with renewed interest in watches and
their movements.
