19th century, mounted on a green marble stepped plinth, 30cm high overall x 14.5cm square; together with a collection of similar cut glass door knobs, 19th century, and some fittings (a lot)

Provenance: Removed from Abbots Barton House near Winchester in the early 1970s, an estate once owned by Jane Austen’s brother, Edward Knight of Chawton.
