AN ANCIENT APULIAN RED-FIGURE TERRACOTTA SKYPHOS

5th-3rd century BCE, one side decorated with a seated female and dove, the other with a man carrying a basket, 10cm high x 19cm wide, bearing a later inscription in pencil to the base

Restorations apparent, including that both handles appear to have been broken and restored. Some small chips and firtting around the rim. Surface wear throughout, particularly to the foot. The foot is later inscribed in pencil.
