FRANZ BERGMANN (AUSTRIAN, 1861-1936) A large cold-painted bronze of a carpet trader

his turbaned head facing right whilst holding the edges of a polychrome painted rug aloft, bearing stamps to his feet and the rug stamped with 'B' within the outline of a vase shape and '3912'? model number, 18cm high x 18.5cm wide x 19cm deep

This lot is in good condition commensurate with age.

There are localised areas of paint loss but it is largely in tact throughout.

There are red paint losses to the turban and one eye is not as distinct as the other.

The carpet is more vibrant at the top with bright reds, and detailed silver edging.  At the bottom is is faded and rubbed.
