*CLARICE CLIFF (1899-1972) FOR NEWPORT POTTERY A 'Farmhouse' plate

circa 1932, with the homestead against a backdrop of trees, 23cm diameter; together with a 'Tulip' teacup, 5.5cm high, both stamped 'FANTASQUE BIZARRE' (2)

This lot is in good condition overall. It could do with a good clean!!

There are some localised losses of paint on the black rim of the plate, particularly on the top, There are minor losses around the bottom black edge as well. There are losses on the red and orange outer rings, again of a minor nature.

There are no hairline cracks or significant damage to report.

It is faded and carries minor scratches, commensurate with age and use.


The cup has a hairline crack to the handle at the base.

There are minor paint losses to the green rim 

There is minor scratching throughout. The base is scuffed. All commensurate with age and condition.

From manufacture there is a 'swirl' of paint on the cream ground near the edge which is only evident with close scrutiny
