The painting is generally in fairly good, original condition and does not appear to have been relined. UV examination does not reveal any areas of in-painting or other restoration. Some small areas of loss are present to the picture surface. The picture surface is otherwise stable, with good canvas surface tension. There is moderate craquelure throughout, as well as some slight overall fading and areas of surface dirt and accretion; the painting would benefit from being cleaned.
