probably late Qing dynasty, of circular section, the lid decorated with cockerels amongst foliage, 3cm high; together with another small famille rose box and cover, 7cm high; an export porcelain saucer, 12cm diameter; and another saucer decorated in the chinoiserie taste (4)

This lot appears in overall fair to good condition. Both plates show signs of enamel wear and fading, with light scratching visible across the design of one plate. The chicken box has a chip to the rim along with loss of gilt to the lid, while the famille-rose box exhibits a small chip and a hairline crack.
