A PERSIAN QAJAR PAPIER MACHE AND LACQUERED BOX
19th century, the domed top painted with a portrait of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar, seated in an opulent interior and surrounded by attendants, further decorated with numerous raised portraits to the border, the base with hunting scenes of figures on horseback, lions, dogs and prey, the interior of the lid finely painted with another portrait of Fath-Ali Shah, this time seated on horseback in pursuit of a lion, raised on four bracket feet, 21cm high x 42cm wide x 29cm deep
