The painting is generally in good condition, but bears a few issues. The picture surface is stable, with moderate craquelure throughout and areas where the indentation of the stretcher is visible. The painting has been relined, but not recently, with good canvas surface tension. There is some discolouration to the canvas, probably caused by smoke damage and hanging conditions. There are also some areas of damage and loss to the gilt frame. Please see additional images available on request.
