Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Provenance: By repute, formerly in the collection of Major Andrews of Christchurch, who apparently was a serious collector of Chinese porcelain, with his collection selling for £70k in the 1970s. Following a military career, Major Andrews had intended establishing an antiques business and Stephen Reginal Topp Wicks stored Chinese porcelain and other items on his behalf. Sadly, the warehouse was broken into and items were vandalised, including this vase.

We have no documentation or further details to support this provenance, which is supplied by the vendor as part of his memories of his late father.
