The painting is in good overall condition. The picture surface is stable; it has been restored, relined and cleaned - probably at some point within the last 50 years. Picture surface tension is good and the surface bears a clear, glossy varnish layer. There is craquelure throughout. There is an area of surface abrasion to the far middle left, taking the form of a vertical line with some accompanying areas of discolouration. There are some small areas of abrasion scattered across the picture surface, but these are generally minor. The frame bears some areas of loss. Please see additional images available on request.
