Elfrieda Fluss attended the premiere in the coat and was escorted by the sculptor and designer Charles de Temple; Fluss was godmother to his daughter, Deriam.
Charles de Temple was the creator of the famous 'Goldfinger' body paint. He also designed and created the famous jewelled 'gold finger' glove worn by Honor Blackman.
According to Elfrieda, de Temple liked the coat so much that he claimed it for himself as a keepsake.
After escaping Nazi Germany, Elfrieda Fluss (1914-2004) worked as Milliner to the Queen from the early 1940s to the 1980s, creating the iconic feathered tricorn worn by Her Majesty at her Coronation in 1953. In later life, Elfrieda Fluss entered into an antiques dealing with her friend John Charlesworth, trading as Fluss & Charlesworth Ltd.
