First edition, large folio, 67 (= 68, XXV used three times, L and LI numbered on the same sheet) numbered sheets (of 72) of maps (including some folding), city plans, tinted lithographic plates of views (including engravings from daguerreotypes), two of the maps and 3 geological plates with hand colouring, lacking the half title and general title page and text, Plate XXXVI 'Departmento de Puno' browned (as usual), tear to the lower margin (the numerical key) of plate XXVIII 'Vista de la Torre de Santo Domingo', patches of worming mostly at the front and at the end, contemporary full calf, bookplate of Charles Cotton-Atkins Note: The earliest atlas of Peru, this copy contains plate I (the general map of Peru) and the panorama of the author's home town of Arequipa. Bibliographies call for varying numbers of sheets.
