ROYAL INTEREST: WILLIAM IV SILVER TREASURY INK STAND by Robert Hennel III, London 1836, of rectangular form, the hinged lid engraved with the Royal Arms, the interior enclosing two silver mounted glass inkwells and a sander, also a detachable section, the whole on pierced bracket feet, 9cm high x 25cm long, (c.45.9oz) This inkstand was possibly made as a commemorative piece to mark the Coronation of Queen Victoria in 1837.
