RARE DAVENPORT TERRACOTTA POTTERY WINE COOLER, circa 1805, moulded with a portrait of Admiral Lord Nelson flanked by branches of acorns and oak leaves, and the reverse with a trophy of arms against a galleon, with stylised dolphin mask handles, with an impressed mark "Davenport" over an anchor, 26cm high.According to Lockett, this is "exceedingly rare". There is one other in Hanley Museum, no. 1721.
