TWO ST JOHNS MEDAL AMBULANCE GROUPS Officer of St Johns Medal group to William Charles Comben. William Charles Comben was born in Portland, Dorset in 1907. He attested to the Royal Artillery (territorial) on 16th January 1925, given the service number 759360. A member of the Saint Johns Ambulance he was awarded the Order of S John Breast badge, Defence and Service Medal Order of St John with two long service bars. Swing mounted as worn, Defence Medal has become loose. Service Medal Order of St John with two long service bars is officially and correctly engraved - 30283 Cpl W C Comben No9 Dis SJAB 1944. Condition = VF, gazetted 14th September 1973. Imperial Service Medal group to Hebert John Pearce. Pearce was a native of Dorset, born in 1908. A member of the Saint John's Ambulance, awarded the Service Medal Order of St John in 1953. By trade, he was a skilled Labour and for his service in this role he was awarded the Imperial Service Medal, gazetted 14th September 1973. Defence Medal unnamed as issued.
