CAPTAIN HANS BUSK (1815-1882): a rare collection of correspondence and postal material relating to the 'Originator of the Volunteers' - rifle clubs that were set up in case of invasion - and also as a well-known yacht and lifeboat designer who strove to ensure the installation of lifeboat stations, including one envelope hand painted with a lifeboat crew and addressed to Busk, a period print of his 'Busk' lifeboat, together with related material from the Beresford family of Leicestershire
