IMPRESSIVE CARVED HONGMU WATCH CASE, QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY, of tall case form, the door carved with a band of scrolling foliage and two confronting dragons, centred by a calligraphic poem, surmounted by a finial profusely carved in relief with four coiled dragons, clouds and flaming pearl, the whole resting a on a terraced double lotus carved rectangular base, associated and later pocket watch, 44cm high
