LARGE GILT-BRONZE AND CLOISONNE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER, QING DYNASTY, 19TH CENTURY, the globular body supported on three cabriole legs issuing from gilt-bronze lion masks, the exterior decorated in bright enamels against a turquoise ground with large lotus blooms issuing from foliate scrolls, the shoulders with a pair of long S-shaped handles decorated with graduated keyfret pattern, the domed cover finely cast in gilt bronze with four ruyi-shaped pierced panels enclosing leafy lotus scrolls and strapwork , surmounted by an elaborate gilt-bronze and blue enamel knop decorated with a dragon amongst cloud scrolls, 45cm high
