A SUPERB SIKHOTE-ALIN IRON METEORITE of classic orientated shrapnel form with excellent atmospheric ablations, c.20.15kg This meteorite originates from the famous Sikhote-Alin shower of 1947 in remote Eastern Russia. It fell in daylight at 10.38am and left a smoke and dust plume over 20 miles long. It was estimated to be travelling at 31,000 miles an hour.
