It is believed that the men are related by marriage. 1914 Star Trio 27102 Spr E J Bell RE & ISM Star 27102 Sapr E J Bell RE Pair 27102 Spr E J Bell RE ISM - Ernest James Bell Officially renamed Condition = GVF Ernest James Bell joined the Royal Engineers on 29th May 1913; he served on the Western Front from 9th August 1914 as a signaller. He was discharged 17th September 1918 due to illness, awarded the Silver War Badge numbered N2076. Connaught Rangers pair to 6401 Pte H L Orsman Conn Rang Henry L Orsman was entitled to the pair only. He was later transferred to the Labour Corps with service number 667095.
