LORD LIEUTENANTS UNIFORM SET originally belonging to Captain the Honourable Sir Spencer M Wilson 11th Baronet of Eastbourne, with name tag inside and date of 9.11.1905 Sir Spencer Pocklington Maryon Maryon-Wilson was born on 19th of July 1859 on the Isle of Wight. He inherited the title when his father Spencer Maryon Wilson died on 31st December 1897. Maryon- Wilson served as a Captain in the West Kent Yeomanry. His residence was Charlton House, Old Charlton, Kent. Died 12th May 1944. His estate went to probate, and in 1945 he left £702000 - the equivalent of nearly 25 million today. Overcoat has solid silver buttons, with gold and silver bullion roses on each collar. Leather boots with silver bullion with spurs. Lord Lieutenant's tunic with solid silver button and roses with gold guilt on the tails with silver bullion and gold on cuffs. Belt solid silver buckle and with gold and silver bullion. Epaulettes are solid silver with silver and gold bullion, with carrying case. Hat with silver wire and silver button, with a feather.
