MEIN KAMPF WEDDING EDITION with research into the recipients. The book is in excellent condition with light surface wear. It was presented to Meyer / Breer on occasion of their wedding in Lunen on 7th May 1941 and signed by the Senior Mayor. The vendor wrote to the Major of Lunen in 2010 and asked if he could provide any details on the couple. The following was uncovered. Dr Peter Johannes Aloysius Meyer was born on 1st May 1910, he survived the war and practised medicine. Meyer died 1th February 1986. Ilse Wilhelmine Breer was born on 16th June 1922, and as of 9th February, 2010 was still living in Lunen. The Senior Mayor was Oberburgermeister Karl Theodor Loerbrocks, who was Mayor until 1945. Provenance: Consigned by the Grandson of the Landlord of the Bridge Pub in Middlesbrough. This lot along with a number of others was taken to cover a bar tabs in the 1950s.
