GREAT WAR PRISONER OF WAR GROUP TO CAPTAIN R F W PATRICK Correctly impressed Pair - 2- Lieut R F W Patrick ( issued 1940) Special Constabulary Medal Correctly impressed Ronald F W Patrick Ronald Frederick Whale Patrick lived in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. In the pre-war years, he was the secretary to the Wemyss family at Wemyss castle. He married in 1910 to a Norwegian. Patrick was serving as a Second Lieutenant in the 8th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders when he was wounded and taken prisoner on 28th July 1918. He was repatriated on 13th December 1918 and Mentioned in Despatches. In civilian life, he was involved with the Scouts and served in the Special Constabulary. Through his wife's family, it seems he served as Honorary Vice Consul in the Norwegian Embassy at Methil, Scotland. He was awarded the 'Insignia of Chevalier 2nd Class' announced in the London Gazette 24th October 1950.
