A TERRITORIAL GROUP TO LIEUT W FORBES 1ST VOLUNTEER BN SEAFORTHS Defence Medal EVII Volunteer Force LSGC - correctly impressed Lieut W Forbes 1/V.B Seaforth Hdrs GV Officer TD Condition GVF ( edge bruise to LSGC, naming unaffected) Lieutenant W Forbes was commissioned as Second Lieutenant on 9.7.1904. Lieutenant 25.2.1907 and Captain 22.11.1911. During the Great War, Forbes was in command of the Regimental Headquarters at Dingwell. He was awarded the Territorial Decoration in 1920 and retired in 1921. He was active in the Ross and Cromarty territorial Association until 1945.
