FOR BURMA TO 4462914 WO 1 CONDUCTOR A RILEY RASC Albert Riley was Warrant Officer in the Durham Light Infantry, seconded as a Conductor to the Royal Army Service Corps and then attached to the IACC ( Indian Army Corps of Clerks). He was awarded the MBE for Gallant and distinguished service for operations in Burma and on the Eastern Indian Frontier of India between the 16th May 44 to 15th August 44 The award of the MBE was announced in the London Gazette on the 28th June 1945.
