A GROUP OF FIVE TO 526 LANCE SERGEANT A MITCHELL NORTHUMBERLAND YEOMANRY 1914 Star 526 L SJT A Mitchell North'D Yeo Pair 526 SJT A Mitchell North'D Yeo TFEM 526 Pte A Mitchell North'D HRS Yeo 1935 Coronation Medal. Condition GVF Arthur Mitchell was born in Gloucester. He was a Civil Servant in civilian life. Already a member of the Royal Buckingham Hussars, he joined the Northumberland Hussars on 12th May 1908, when he moved to the area for work. He settled in Whitburn near Sunderland. Mitchell attended all the annual summer training camps. He was mobilised on 5th August 1914 and landed at Zeebrugge on 5th October 1914 with A Squadron. He was discharged at Newcastle upon Tyne on 11th May 1916. The group comes with an original Princess Mary tin and his wedding invitation.
