A QUEENS SOUTH AFRICA MEDAL TO PTE DOUGHERTY DLI

A Queens South Africa Medal to Pte Dougherty DLI QSA Bar Natal. Correctly impressed 2774 Pte W Dougherty DLI. Condition GVF ( Official correction to initial) William Thomas Dougherty was born at Newcastle under Lyme in 1869. He joined the Durham Light Infantry aged eighteen in 1887. He transferred to the Army Reserve on 4th September 1899. He was recalled on 15th January 1900 and went on to serve in South Africa from 25th February 1900 until 21st June 1900. Dougherty was awarded the QSA with bar Natal. Discharged on 14th January 1904.
