A TFEM TO SJT SUMMERBELL 8TH DLI EVII TFEM Correctly impressed 742 C SJT A Summerbell 8/ Durham L I Allen Summerbell was born in Tanfield, Stanley, County Durham on 10th January 1880. A member of the 8th Bn he signed up for overseas service on 4th August 1914. However, he was based in Seaham for the duration of the war. Upon discharged he went back to his teaching position in West Cornforth, eventually becoming Headmaster.
