GEORGE V NAVAL LONG SERVICE GROUP 1914/15 Trio - 229907 W W Stepney PO RN Defence Medal; LS & GC - 229907 W W Stepney HMS Leamington. Condition Fine (polished) Walter William Stepney was born in Brighton Sussex on 22nd March 1888. He joined the Royal Navy on his 18th Birthday, signing on for twelve years. It seems he spent the Great War years serving on HMS Dreadnought, which at the time was a revolutionary Battleship. Medals confirmed in service papers and on the roll.
