ROYAL NAVY MENTIONED IN DESPATCHES GROUP FOR OPERATION PEDESTAL 1914/15 Star correctly impressed J.11569 C S Srodzinski AB RN Pair correctly impressed J.11569 C S Srodzinski LS RN 1939/45 Star Atlantic Star Africa Star - clasp 1942-43 War Medal with Mini MID emblem 1935 Coronation Medal Long Service Good Conduct Medal correctly impressed - J.11569 C S Srodzinski PO HMS Erebus Condition GVF Charles Stanislaus Srodzinski was born in Brixham, Devon on 26th May 1895. He joined the Royal Navy on 13 Mar 1911. During the Great War, he served on HMS Attentive, HMS Defiance and HMS Griffon. He was awarded the LSGC on 9th July 1928 and discharged to pension the same year. He re-entered the service 30th September 1935. He saw service in the Atlantic and off the coast of North Africa. Srodzinski took part in Operation Pedestal as a Chief Petty Officer on HMS Pathfinder. Pedestal being the operation to transport supplies to Malta in 1942. He was Mentioned in Despatches for Operation Pedestal and this was announced in the London Gazette on 24th November 1942. The group come with original MID Certificate and documents.
