Condition VF. With discharged parchments. Frederick Sherriff was born in Gibraltar. He attested at Glasgow aged fourteen years and six months on 7th November 1867 joining the 1st battalion of the Kings Own Scottish Borders. He served a total of 21 years and 49 days before discharge and was awarded the Long Service good Conduct Medal. Afghanistan Medal is confirmed in his service papers and on the roll.
