1925 OAKLAND 6-54 SPECIAL TOURING Registration Number: DS8282 Chassis Number: 21619 Engine Number: L38175 3032cc, with black leather interior and a black canvas hood. This car was imported and sold at ADT Auctions in Measham in May 1991. It was used as a for hire wedding car. All main components in the engine box and axles have been rebuilt with full history supplied. The car is sold with workshop manual and original parts manual, a full set of side screen loads, spares, two head gaskets and two starter motors, gearbox parts etc. The Oakland Motor Car Company was founded in 1907 in the County of Oakland, Michigan by Edward M. Murphy. The first car was designed by Allanson P. Brush and produced in 1908. The Oakland had the distinction of being the third car company behind Buick and Olds Mobile and joined the fledgling General Motor Company. A year later this car was produced in 1926 and the New York Motor Show saw the introduction of Oakland of a new model named after the hometown Pontiac.
