•MARY SPENCER WATSON (1913-2006) "Hero" ash and colour, 1954, 85" high. See illustration Provenance: Made from timber from her own orchard. The sculpture was created following a visit to Greece and Crete in 1954. Exhibited: Dorset County Museum and other venues on five occasions between 1976 and 1999. Illustrated fully on pages 29 and 102 of Ratusziniak "Mary Spencer Watson, Sculpture, Catalogue Raisonne". Provenance: The Mary Spencer Watson Estate, Dunshay, Dorset.
