					A GEORGE II WALNUT CONSOLE TABLE, circa 1750, the serpentine Sienna-marble top with a moulded edge, over a shaped frieze pierced and carved with"C"-scrolls, rocaille-work and foliage, on cabriole legs carved at the knee with bunches of fruit and flowers and terminating with inverted leafy-scroll feet, the underside with an old typed label inscribed "Robert V. Cooke FRCS, no. 1, Litfield House, Clifton, Bristol 8", 58" wide Provenance: Recorded in an article on Athelhampton published in "The Connoisseur", May 1968.
