A WILLIAM AND MARY BLACK JAPANNED CABINET ON STAND, basically circa 1690, decorated throughout with chinoiserie in gilt on a black ground, the upper section with a pair of glazed doors with beveling which may suggest that they were originally mirrored, the base with a single frieze drawer, on turned legs joined by an undulating cross-over stretcher and ending in ball feet, 47.5" wide x 62.5" high
