A NORTH EUROPEAN OAK AND WALNUT COFFER, dated "1631", the rectangular lid with a moulded edge over a frieze carved with strapwork divided by five chip-carved corbels and a front composed of four arcaded panels incorporating the date "1631" surrounded by chequered line inlay separated by five further vertical panels of carved strapwork, the twin-panelled ends with wrought iron carrying handles, on bun feet, 78.5" wide
