A GEORGE III PAINTED SILK DRESS, 18th century with alterations and additions, the whole painted in polychrome with scattered bouquets of flowers tied with ribbon, leafy palmettes and scattered blossom, the edges trimmed with lace and worked with "pearls", together with a display stand, and an old label inscribed on a House of Commons card "Painted silk dress of the time of George III", 58" high
