AN IMPORTANT JAMES I OAK JOINED COFFER, the rectangular top with a moulded edge over a lunette-carved frieze, a gadrooned moulding and two arcaded panels carved with upright stiff leaves, flowerheads and a lower register of guilloche, divided by three bold corbels carved with stylised leaves, the ends with arcaded panels and on large shaped block feet carved with guilloche on the front, 48" wide x 26.5" deep (maximum)
