					A JAMES I BOARDED OAK COFFER, basically early 17th century, the rectangular lid with strap hinges with fleur-de-lis finials and a conforming hasp, over a front carved with two rectangular panels incorporating interlocking leafy scrolls, arches and Gothic leaf spandrels, scratch-carved with the initial "A" to the left of the lock plate, the notched ends continuing to form supports, 53" wide x 16" deep
