FINE GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF MANJUSHRI, YONGLE MARK AND OF THE PERIOD, finely cast with the bodhisattva seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus pedestal, the arms raised in dharmachakra mudra and holding two stalks of uptala lotuses rising up the shoulders, the graceful figure wearing a dhoti which falls into pleats, with a sash around the shoulders and arms, the chest and the waist adorned by elaborate beaded necklaces, the face with a serene expression, 26cm high Provenance: From a Private Surrey Collection
