FINE CINNABAR LACQUER PENTAFOIL BOX AND COVER, QIANLONG PERIOD, the cover deeply carved with a scholar and attendants in a mountain landscape beside a bridge, the sides carved with panels of blossoming stems flanked and divided by lotus blossoms and scrolling tendrils, 24cm diam Provenance: Bears an old Spink and Son Ltd label.
