					NAIVE SCHOOL A study of the clipper 'Thyatira' in full sail, oil on panel, 39cm x 50.5cm Thyatira 962 tons (GRT), was an composite clipper, built in 1867 by Walter Hood & Co. in Aberdeen for Aberdeen White Star Line (George Thompson & Co). Bought by J W Woodside & Co. of Belfast in 1894. In July 1896, when bound from London to Rio with general cargo, it was wrecked at Pontal da Barra Provenance: Private Collection, Dorset
