SUBSTANTIAL AND IMPRESSIVE VICTORIAN CARVED OAK AND LEATHER INSET PARTNERS' DESK BY GILLOW OF LANCASTER, late 19th century, the tan leather top with gilt tooled scrolling foliate border, the front and back with arrangements of nine and eight drawers respectively, (two drawer fronts masking a single larger filing drawer), a central drawer stamped 2069L GILLOW & CO., the drawers all with panels of horizontal reeding and carved paterae, the sides panelled, the eight straight legs descending from the top, 75cm high, the top 168cm wide, 180cm deep
