GRIFFIN OF LONDON: DOUBLE BARREL OVER-UNDER HOLSTER PISTOL, circa 1750, with engraved floral flattened locks, dark walnut stock, proof marks stamped to the barrels, engraved steel trigger guard and horn-tip ramrod, long spur steel butt cap engraved with dog-tooth decoration, 41cm long Provenance: The pistol was in the collection of the late Eric Griffin, author of "Griffin of Bond Street". This pistol is illustrated in this book on pages 184 and 185, plate 26.
