GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE MINE SWEEPERS BADGE with diamonds, with an eagle clutching a swastika within an outer wreath of oak leaves, inlaid with stones, stamped "800" on the reverse. The standard Kriegsmarine Mine Sweepers badge was first introduced by Admiral Raeder on 31st August 1940. Reputedly a number of these badges with diamonds were produced to award to various minesweeper commanders who had also been awarded the Knights Cross or the Iron Cross with oak leaves
