S Thrush paper", dated "Aug 8th/ 90 Halifax " Dear Miss Hewett very many thanks for sending me your photograph which arrived all right, and I think it a very good one"... the letter progresses and later states " We arrived here a week ago after a very good passage out from England, we had some bad weather in the Bay of Biscay and that was all. yes, those poor torpedo boats had a very bad time coming out here and they were very pleased to get in"... The letter ends " With kind regards to Col: Hewett Believe me yours very sincerely George". Together with two other letters from Edith Hewett to Prince George, one dated "July 21st 1890, and a writing diary which also includes a signed letter to Miss Hewett (4)
