FRENCH OR GERMAN STEEL MASTER LOCK, early 18th century, the cover-plate of the rectangular case cut and incised with scrolling foliate decoration, the mechanism with four latches, the reverse of the case with further incised scrolling foliate work around a relief-cast green man face, 19.5cm high x 10cm wide x 9cm deep overall Cf.
